Last Day of Summer

On Monday I discovered that Sunday was the last day of summer. I had the pleasure of spending it with good friends doing something I love – quilting!  And when we took a break, I wandered thru the country grounds of a lovely farmhouse from a couple of centuries back.  The good fellowship, long shadows, crisp air, and buzz of the insects were a balm to the spirit.

  1. The last day of summer is so typified by that mournful sunflower. Are you going to miss summer or do you rejoice that it’s finally fall?

  2. love your photos – especially froggie. I’m wishing it was summer again and not school time…
