Polegreen Picnic

Yesterday was a lovely day for a picnic, so four generations met at Polegreen park.  We found a picnic table in the shade, right next to the excellent playground, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Except for the local mockingbird, who told us in no uncertain terms that we were invaders.

Lily decided the quilt was intended specifically for her nap, so after running around the playground steadily for 20 minutes she crashed briefly, complete with snoring sounds!  Eli found a fossil under the climbing wall.  His mom thought it was of a raptor, but he assured us it was T-rex, and rather like an x-ray.  A very apt connection.

Happiness is being a grandmother!
