Silver Train

My grandson is fascinated by trains, so yesterday we took him for a ride!   Dad Zach drove us to historic Main Street Station, then drove to Williamsburg to meet us there.  The kids were so excited!  Eli kept saying we were going to ride the Silver Train, Amtrak.  The train didn’t stop at the station for more that 5 minutes, if that – the ticket lady herded us onto the platform, we boarded, and we were off!  The kids had time to talk with the conductor, look out the windows, eat a snack, and then we were there!  It was great fun!  We would have liked to ride back as well, but the return train wasn’t until almost 5 pm – a bit more of a good thing than preschoolers (or Mom and Grandma) can handle.  Train down, drive back worked just right.
