Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens

Yesterday was a serendipitous afternoon – expecting to sort personal papers with my Dad, I wound up instead doing Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens with Momma!  It was a perfect day for it, and we even caught a few songs by one of my favorite groups, the Richmond Indigenous Gourd Orchestra!  They were performing for “Ghosts and Goblins” in the Children’s Garden, which was thronged by butterflies, spidermen, and various indecipherable short creatures.  Momma and I had ice cream cones and enjoyed the spectacle.  A perfect sequel to a morning spent on the cool of my porch working on a gourd fairy house. (not quite finished – photos eventually)
