Marvels of Virginia Beach

Spent some time in Virignia Beach recently with our younger daughter and youngest grandchild and caught a couple of the local attractions! With the summer crowds gone, the aquarium was a pleasant place to take a young toddler – lots to see and touch. I loved the large fish and turtle tanks, and even saw a couple of alligators up close!

The Neptune Festival was happening, with large sand sculptures along the boardwalk. The prize winners were under a tent that required waiting in a long line to purchase a ticket, which we skipped. We did brave the chilly ocean wind long enough to check out the impressive untented sculptures.

Off-season – check it out!
